Pictures from an Exhibition – A Remembrance of Viktor Hartmann"; French: Tableaux d'une exposition) is a suite of ten pieces (plus a recurring, varied Promenade) composed for piano by Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky in 1874.


This is an arrangement of the 1st 5 "pictures" together with their promenades for symphonic wind dectet.    

I have provided alternative bass parts for contrebass, tuba and contrabassoon.



This arrangement contains the following items:


Promenade (1st)

No. 1 "Gnomus" (The Gnome)

Promenade (2nd)

No. 2 "Il Vechio Castello" (The Old Castle) (needs cor anglais)

Promenade (3rd)

No. 3 "Tuileries" (Children's Quarrel after Games)

No. 4 "Bydlo" (Cattle)

Promenade (4th)

No. 5 "Ballet de poussins dans leurs coques" (Ballet of Unhatched Chicks)


Movements 7 to 11 (the end)are also available.
