"Mr. Beveridge's Maggot" is a popular 17th-century English country dance and tune, first published in 1695 in John Playford's The Dancing Master.

This old English Dance Tune was used in the BBC’s Pride and Prejudice TV mini series.

This is an original composition based that tune.

It is written as a Theme and 4 variations. Originally composed for wind quartet,

I have adapted it for recorder quartet. It is written in a baroque style.
